Future of the Network as we begin 2009! |
| The network was founded based upon the need of
couples looking for trustworthy and quality oriented photographers.
We have spent the last year searching through thousands of websites
(over 6000!) to find a select few join us for the launch. I wanted
to take a minute to pass along some of the ideas for the network. |
| Exposure: You will have exposure in your primary
Country, state or county, with photos, a bio, rate ranges, and information for brides
to see. Your location will be limited to a number of photographers.
As Many existing members know, it is about preserving reputations.
We don't add just anyone who wants to pay a bill, and we keep our
membership dues at a minimum as possible. |
| The network will have a member only entrance,
protected by password. Inside will be many resources. |
- Member bios, and equipment experience. Why this? Well say you
are interested in the Nikon D1x but you are not sure how it would
work for wedding photography? Why not email a member who has
experience in the format and with the equipment. Same goes for
Medium Format, 35mm, and any other specialties someone may have.
The bios will have email address, NOT phone Numbers.
- Critiquing board. So, it will be a bit like a message board.
You simply add a photo and members can give you their opinions or
suggestions!
- Of course, message boards. Some for equipment issues, some for
customer service issues, angry bride issues, and hey why not! How
about a photographer venting board. Your best and worst weddings.
Now that is something we hardly ever get to vent about! The
great part about the "member only" is that it is not viewable by
people searching for a photographer.
- David Roberts will be working on the "Online Competitions" and
awards. The cool part about this is that your judges are members
from other states or countries!
- Monthly Challenges and postings. This is to help keep us
photographers from getting burnt out. It is a bit like an online
camera club. But it may just give us a spark right when we need it
the most!
